Established to foster closer dialogue and cooperation with the public and private sectors, develop defense, security, and aerospace industries, and enhance intergovernmental relations. The council’s primary focus areas include government tenders, export license controls, industrial cooperation, offset agreements, aviation safety, industrial clusters, geopolitical developments and their impacts on defense procurement, cybersecurity, and integrated border management. It aims to identify opportunities and challenges to enhance cooperation with US and Turkiye governments by bringing together manufacturers and users to promote interoperability and common technical standards. The council supports the development of Turkish companies by monitoring the activities of the US commercial aviation, commercial air transportation, and defense industries.
