SECRETARIAT GENERAL

The Secretary General of ATIC serves for a three-year term and may be re-elected at the end of their term. They are elected by the General Assembly.

Secretary General

a) The Secretary General operates under the General President and the Board of Directors. They work with Deputy Secretary Generals (Executive Directors), Advisors, Units, Unit Managers, Coordinators, and Branch and Representative Office Staff under their supervision.

b) The Secretary General is responsible for managing all affairs of the institution as authorized and assigned by the General President and the Board of Directors and for representing the institution in relevant places.

c) As the head of the association’s organization, the Secretary General is responsible for overseeing all activities of the association, ensuring that these activities are carried out according to programs and regulations, and providing planning, supervision, and coordination in all activities of the association.

d) The Secretary General is also responsible for monitoring the activities of branches and representative offices, ensuring harmonious work between the central office and the branches.

e) The Secretary General actively engages in relations with official institutions, civil society organizations, and the media, conducting activities to enhance dialogue with all these entities.

Deputy Secretary General (Executive Director)

Deputy Secretary Generals (Executive Directors) are responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating all activities of the units under their supervision based on the instructions and directives from the Secretary General. They are responsible for the following tasks:

  • Acting as a proxy in the absence of the Secretary General
  • Monitoring and coordinating the activities of the units under their supervision
  • Meeting the demands from branches and representative offices
  • Managing the follow-up processes of branch and representative office activities
  • Supervising and overseeing the association’s procurement processes
  • Coordinating and monitoring the admission and exit of members
  • Ensuring the implementation and documentation of decisions made by the association (Board of Directors’ Decisions)
  • Conducting activities to establish the institution’s culture and identity
